Lenscap Support
Paid support is not open yet. These release-candidate notes cover the most common Mac setup boundaries without asking you to send a capture.
Last reviewed September 10, 2026Screen Recording permission
macOS requires Screen Recording permission for any app that reads screen pixels, including still screenshots. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen Recording and System Audio Recording, enable Lenscap, then follow macOS’s prompt to reopen the app.
Scrolling capture permission
Accessibility access is optional and used only to send scroll events during automatic scrolling capture. Ordinary screenshots, recording, OCR, annotation, and manual scrolling capture do not require it.
Files and history
The default save folder is ~/Pictures/Lenscap. You can change it in Settings. Capture history is local and keeps the latest 300 records; removing an item from history does not promise to delete a file you separately saved elsewhere.
Recording limits
Lenscap records H.264 MP4 video with optional system audio. The current release does not record microphone audio or webcam video. GIF recording is capped at 30 seconds.
Personal Cloud preview
Personal Cloud is for technical users comfortable deploying and maintaining their own Neon project. Lenscap ships without cloud credentials; you supply your own Neon project and device token. Keep local originals. Lenscap does not operate the account, select a paid plan, or recover the infrastructure for you.
Email choices
Use the exact unsubscribe link from a Lenscap message. The confirmation page gives the same generic receipt whether an active preference record matched, so the receipt does not prove a suppression was recorded. If the link is old or unrecognized, reply unsubscribe to the original Lenscap message.
Current contact boundary
A brand-owned support inbox will be published before paid downloads or commercial email begin. Until then, join the founding list for release news. For personal-data questions, use the request form in the Privacy Policy. Do not submit screenshots or diagnostic files through the founding or privacy forms.
